Energy Technician at Marks Bostads AB

Marks Bostads AB is a publicly owned housing company fully owned by the municipality. We own and manage approximately 3,800 apartments and about 200 smaller premises in 14 locations within Marks municipality for rental to individuals and municipal care. Currently, we have 69 employees working within the company. Most work in our residential areas close to our tenants, while others work from our offices located in Kinna and Örby. We have a variety of professional categories represented, but regardless of job role, we all work towards the same vision of creating safe and pleasant housing for everyone together with our tenants and partners.

We are now looking for an engaged and experienced Energy Technician

As an energy technician, you will play an important role in ensuring the operation and maintenance of energy systems within our properties, all to meet our tenants' expectations and regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze and optimize the operation, maintenance, and upkeep of energy facilities with a focus on energy efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and independently adjust deviations, perform inspections and maintenance of facilities in our properties.
  • Ensure that the facilities comply with applicable regulations and requirements.
  • Conduct checks and follow-ups on energy usage through our energy monitoring system as well as through on-site visits to the properties.
  • Collaborate with property technicians and energy coordinators to achieve common goals.
  • Prepare and analyze energy reports.
  • Assist operations and management with expertise in property technology and energy.
  • Handle related administration such as control, coding, and approval of invoices as well as statistical follow-up.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

We are looking for someone with an education in the energy field and a genuine interest combined with several years of practical experience.

  • Good knowledge of energy monitoring systems such as eGain, Arrigo, Momentum, and/or Web Port.
  • You are skilled at finding sustainable solutions, both budget-wise and in terms of effective maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with other professional groups, such as our property caretakers, managers, etc.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail in your work.
  • The computer and phone are essential tools for you in your daily work, and you easily familiarize yourself with new systems.
  • Experience in the housing and property industry, e.g., as a property caretaker/landlord/area manager with some administrative responsibility, is an advantage.
