In home care, you have the opportunity to make a difference and contribute to a dignified and meaningful everyday life for our patients. We work in teams consisting of district nurses, registered nurses, and nursing assistants. We have a close collaboration with the health centers and their doctors.

What we can offer you as a nursing student/HSL nursing assistant: As a summer substitute in Markaryd Municipality, you are offered the opportunity to work during the summer. We offer you employment at 75-100%, and you have the option to work either the entire period or part of it. You work only daytime on weekdays, so you are not alone in unfamiliar situations but always have a nurse to consult.

Departments looking for summer substitutes: Home care in Markaryd Municipality is divided into two roughly equal areas: south and north. The southern area covers Markaryd and surrounding areas, including LSS and elderly homes. The northern area covers Strömsnäsbruk and Traryd and surrounding areas, including LSS and elderly homes. Substitutes are needed in both areas.

What does your workday look like? The day begins with an initial planning and division of the day's tasks, followed by home visits to patients. You perform a variety of tasks such as wound dressing, sample collection, pharmacy errands, documentation, etc. The work is varied, and no day is the same. Collaboration and communication with colleagues and staff in other professions are important support when making various decisions.

Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a nursing student or a trained nursing assistant. As a person, we prefer that you are social, empathetic, proactive, and able to work both independently and in a team. You should have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written forms. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. A B driver's license is required.
