• A café assistant from May to September at 100%. We would like you to be available to work weekends in March-April as well.
• Café assistants for the summer season from May to August with varying degrees of employment.
• Café assistant for weekends during the spring.

Tilias café is located in an older house with period decor and a large garden, Stensiögården. The café has an early 1900s atmosphere with primarily locally produced organic ingredients. The menu is a coffee-cake-sandwich concept, with some simpler lunch dishes. There are also booked lunches or dinners for groups. The café is a central hub in the tourist destination Stensjö by, and you will contribute to making it a meeting place for all visitors to Stensjö by.

In nice weather, there are several seating areas in the garden; otherwise, the hall offers a lovely environment for a coffee break. It's a bit like going to a coffee party at Aunt Tilia, who lived in the house at the turn of the 20th century.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for someone who wants to work as a café assistant during the spring and summer season of 2025. As a café assistant, you will be involved in the service and development of the café in close collaboration with the café manager and other staff in the village. We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing the best service and has a great talent for creating a welcoming atmosphere. You will assist with all ongoing tasks in the café such as customer service, receiving deliveries, dishwashing, cleaning, laundry, some baking, and preparing sandwiches, etc.

Qualifications

• You should have a strong interest in customer service and preferably in baking with organic ingredients where seasonal produce is utilized (berries, fruits, vegetables, etc.)
• You must be at least 18 years old
• As a person, you should be organized and enjoy providing good service
• You should be able to work quickly without compromising quality, always keeping Stensjö's best interests in mind
• You can work both independently and intensely when required, and also collaborate with other colleagues
• Interest in cultural environments and older baking and cooking traditions is an advantage
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English is a requirement. Other languages are an advantage
• A driver's license is required

Employment

Tilias café is open on weekends from March and during the Easter holiday week (week 16). From May, the café is open Wednesday to Sunday until September. It is an advantage if you can work the entire summer season. Since the summer months are our peak season, it is difficult to provide longer continuous leave. The work involves scheduled working hours, including weekends and public holidays. The employment is a temporary position with hourly pay.
