Borgholm Castle is looking for café staff for the 2025 season

During the summer, there is a lot happening at the Öland visitor destination, from concerts, children's activities, exhibitions, guided tours, to evening events. Here, you will work in an exciting environment with a historical atmosphere in a dedicated team. Together, we provide excellent service to all our visitors.

Borgholm Castle is now the ruin of the magnificent baroque palace built by Karl X Gustav in the mid-1600s. The oldest parts of the castle date back to the 12th century. Today, it is a vibrant place and one of the region's most popular attractions. Here, history blends with our time. Now, it is us together who are creating history at the castle.

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will be part of the team for our castle café located at the children's castle area. The café plays an important role for the castle visitors and contributes to the overall experience of the place. During the summer, Borgholm Castle has many visitors every day. The café serves light lunch dishes and sandwiches, sweets, ice cream, coffee, and drinks. Many of our guests are families spending several hours at the castle and need to refuel at our café. The work involves cashier duties, serving, and preparing light lunch dishes and sandwiches. You will also have tasks that include cleaning to ensure our sales and serving areas are clean and fresh.

The position is an hourly employment during the season. We will also have two training days on June 17-18, 2025. The deadline for applications is February 9, 2025, but interviews are ongoing, so apply today.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a positive and social attitude who enjoys personal interactions. You are good at collaborating and have the ability to provide the castle's visitors with an experience that exceeds their expectations. You have good language skills in Swedish and English. Ideally, we prefer applicants who are at least 18 years old. Previous experience in similar work is a plus. To fit the position, we believe you are a cheerful person who is not afraid to pitch in when needed and can handle intense work peaks. It is also important that you maintain good order and are a team player with your future colleagues.
