Johan Nordström Maskiner AB was founded in 1955. The company is the general agent for world-leading manufacturers of technically high-quality products in the machine tool industry, primarily from Germany, Switzerland, and Japan. They mainly represent manufacturers in the field of chip-removing machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, and multi-operation machines.

In Sweden, they currently have 29 employees, of which 13 are stationed at the headquarters in Sollentuna. In Norway, there are 4 employees. Together with the subsidiary Techpoint Systemteknik AB, they have a total of 47 employees. They have a good reputation as a fine employer in the industry, and the culture is characterized by collaboration, camaraderie, and freedom with responsibility. They are now looking for an additional traveling maintenance technician for the service department in Sweden.

About the Position

The demand for JN Maskiner's products is increasing, and therefore we are looking for a passionate maintenance technician to strengthen their team. As a traveling maintenance technician, your role is to provide technical service of the highest quality to JN's customers in Sweden and to some extent Norway.

In the role of maintenance technician, they offer a comprehensive introduction and training in Germany upon employment to ensure your competence and confidence for all assignments. Since you will be working on-site at their customers' locations, travel with overnight stays is a natural part of the job. The placement is tied to central Sweden, but residing in the Östergötland or Småland regions with a focus on Linköping, Mjölby, Vimmerby, or Eksjö and surrounding areas is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

Maintenance of machines on-site at the company's customers from order to execution
Advising and ordering spare parts
Documentation and maintaining service records
Internal and external collaboration with colleagues and customers

Qualifications and Characteristics

Experience in maintenance work on vehicles or machines, for example as a vehicle mechanic or similar role in the industry
Fluent knowledge of Swedish and English, knowledge of German is an advantage
Experience and knowledge of CNC-controlled machines is an advantage
