About the Position

In the role of Operations Technician, you will belong to a team characterized by a good atmosphere. The tasks are diverse and include monitoring, preventive operations and maintenance work, rounds, planned maintenance, and troubleshooting. You will be involved in operational optimization, analysis, reporting, and proposals for action. Most of the work is performed at the main production unit, the Combined Heat and Power Plant in Moskogen, but also at smaller peak and reserve facilities.

All work is aimed at ensuring that we can deliver heat safely, both for ourselves and our customers. This requires collaboration with colleagues within Kalmar Energi as well as with suppliers and customers. The role requires a strong service orientation and a positive attitude towards your tasks, which also means that you must be good at structuring and planning your daily work.

The position involves shift work with evening, night, and weekend hours. The position also includes on-call duty every eighth week.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an education in process technology or as an operations technician, operations engineer, marine engineer, energy engineer, or what we assess as equivalent.

As a person, you are calm and secure. You easily understand the technical and professional aspects of the work and are motivated to act as a problem solver, striving to help your surroundings in a solution-oriented way. You focus on high service awareness and safety with good communication skills. Furthermore, you work systematically, have good analytical skills, and appreciate a varied daily routine consisting of planned work but also situations where sudden problems need to be resolved.

In your work life, you take great ownership of your responsibilities, ensure that they are completed on time and with quality. Additionally, you are good at planning and driving your work forward and asking for help when needed. You are meticulous in your work by being attentive to details and noticing things that others often miss.

The position is located at our combined heat and power plant in Moskogen, but work is performed at all our facilities located in and around Kalmar, which is why a B driver's license is required.

Your IT proficiency is high, and you have good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and skills.

The position may involve a security classification.
