We are currently looking for someone who wants to be part of our wonderful team and work as a personal assistant for a man in his 60s with MS living in Uppsala!

The man has significant care needs, and we prefer that you have experience in care and support as you will assist the client with hygiene as well as lifting and transfers. It is beneficial if you have worked with catheters before.

We are looking for someone who can work as a substitute, mainly during the summer but also as needed. The working hours are scheduled during the day, evening, and night.

It is a great advantage if you can speak Bosnian/Croatian, but it is not a requirement. The client also speaks Swedish.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, accommodating, attentive, and engaged in the client's needs and the demands and expectations of the assistance.

What does the job of a personal assistant entail? 

As a personal assistant, you work with a person with a functional variation. You help with the everyday tasks that many take for granted, such as dressing, taking care of the home, personal hygiene, and participating in leisure activities. You make a significant difference and help another person's daily life function.

We have clients of various ages and with different functional variations. Your workplace is where the client is, and the job is both varied and eventful. Contributing every day to allowing a person to live their life as they wish is, in our opinion, the most important job in the world. 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is engaged, respectful, and attentive. We prefer that you have great patience and the ability to be personal while acting professionally. Regardless of your age, life situation, and background, you could be just the assistant we are looking for.

We hope you:

• Have a genuine interest in helping others.
• Can understand and make yourself understood in Swedish. A big plus if you can speak Bosnian/Croatian!
• Can work flexible hours - day, evening, night, and weekends. 
• Have experience in care and support. (This is a plus, but not a requirement).

Additional Information

Employment type: Hourly employment.

Scope: Mainly during the summer but also as needed.

Start date: Immediate.

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only occur after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Aliens Ordinance.
