You will be part of High Voltage Components (HC), a business unit within Hitachi Energy in Ludvika that consists of Surge Arresters and Capacitors.

At Surge Arresters in Ludvika, we produce and sell surge arresters. New products are developed here, and markets exist both in Sweden and in other parts of the world. A surge arrester protects against overvoltages and is an essential part of a reliable and energy-efficient power system. At Capacitors, we finalize customer-specific medium and high-voltage capacitors for reactive power compensation and harmonic filtering, as well as manufacture DC capacitors for HVDC applications worldwide.

Both operations have a high degree of automation with numerous robots, winding machines, electrical testing, process furnaces, fixtures, etc., and we produce around the clock in several sections of production. We work with continuous improvements, and our operations are continuously evolving. We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Engineer to strengthen our staffing to meet the increasing order intake of the units.

Your Responsibilities

• Drive improvement work in your area together with a cross-functional group working on product and machine area development, as well as our initiative towards Smart Maintenance.
• Development, testing, improvement, and commissioning of new and existing machines/processes together with other departments.
• To drive work to develop and manage preventive and corrective maintenance to maintain and ensure stable processes on their production equipment.
• Together with other departments and external suppliers, drive initiatives to maintain and improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Actively work with our database maintenance system, among others.
• Represent maintenance in new investment projects and renovations, etc.

Your Background

• You are driven and solution-oriented and should have relevant education and/or experience as a maintenance engineer.
• You should enjoy working in a changing environment and multitasking.
• Experience working with automation in industrial production and have good IT skills.
• To succeed in the job, you need to be results-focused and thrive in a production environment.
• You should also be communicative in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing, with the ability to share your knowledge with the rest of the organization.
• You are flexible, like to collaborate with others, and have a positive attitude.
