The mission of Sveriges Radio is to broadcast radio in the public interest, and we have 7.4 million listeners each week. More than half of the population engages with our offerings in some form every day, whether through live linear radio or on-demand, via FM, on our own digital platforms, or with other providers. We are currently building several AI-based services at Sveriges Radio. These services often integrate with existing systems and add value for both employees and the audience. As a full-stack developer, you will work in a team that explores new technologies, builds applications, tests concepts, and continuously adapts to technical conditions. The team operates across various parts of the organization and collaborates with other organizations, particularly within Public Service.
The team is distributed and cross-functional, consisting of developers, journalists, and product owners.
This is what you will do as a developer in the team
- Drive the development of our services and applications, such as internal APIs, databases, web interfaces, and integrations with various types of LLMs.
- Work on stability, scalability, security, observability, and flexibility for our services.
- Engage in mob and pair programming with other team members.
- Collaborate with other teams on joint projects.
- Explore the strengths and weaknesses of different types of LLMs and opportunities to leverage them together.
- Develop various types of data flows, often with automated testing, and analyze results in a structured manner.
- Build against internal systems or cloud based on needs.
- A selection of technologies we are already using:
- Typescript, C#, Python
- PostgreSQL, Elastic, Redis, RabbitMQ
- ArgoCD, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions
- Grafana stack, Open Telemetry
- Vectorization, transcription, metadata extraction, text generation
Who are you?
- You have several years of experience in both backend and frontend development.
- You have at least three years of experience working with solutions that utilize AI agents, RAGs, LLMs.
- You want to further develop your skills in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Natural Language Generation (NLG).
- You are comfortable in a terminal and have good knowledge of Linux and container technologies.
- You have solid knowledge of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and GitOps-like workflows.
- You have a genuine interest in system development and value learning new technologies.
- You enjoy sharing your expertise.
- You are humble and unpretentious but are willing to stand by your opinions.
- You like to focus on user needs and collaborate closely with UX.
- You write code that is easy to read and understand.
- You have worked in larger organizations and are accustomed to agile work.
- You are familiar with web-based solutions and have good knowledge of standards and accessibility.

Employment
This is a permanent position with an initial 6-month probationary period, and start date by agreement. We welcome candidates from all over the country as this role can be based in areas other than Stockholm.
