Job Responsibilities

The Support and Service Unit is looking for guides for hourly employment in our operations within the Care and Social Services Administration. The individuals who have been granted guidance and/or respite are of varying ages and have different disabilities. The decisions can be granted through LSS/SoL and vary in scope.

• Guidance means that you accompany a person who has been granted guidance when they are doing activities outside the home to break social isolation, which can be a consequence of a disability. Examples of activities include: movies, cafes, culture, walks, and exercise.
• Respite means that you go to a person who has been granted respite for a few hours so that their relatives have the opportunity to leave home. Examples of things a respite worker should support with include: being a source of security, warming food, assistance during toilet visits, keeping company, and shorter walks. If you are a respite worker for a child, it may involve going to a playground or other activities.

Qualifications

You have a genuine interest in working with people, are service-oriented, and positive. We place great importance on approach, independence, teamwork, flexibility, and responsibility in contact with citizens, relatives, colleagues, and other units.

To work in our operations, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have a good command of Swedish in speaking, writing, and reading comprehension.
• If you are not a Swedish citizen and have citizenship outside the EU, you must also present your residence and/or work permit.
