About Elmia Elmia AB is one of the leading trade fair companies in the Nordic region and organizes various trade fairs annually across a range of business areas, including conferences, congresses, and events. Elmia currently has a portfolio of approximately 30 of its own trade fairs and events. These include focuses on industry, infrastructure, and transport such as Elmia Subcontractor and Elmia Lastbil, as well as within green industries like Elmia Lantbruk and Elmia Wood. Other recurring guest fairs organized by external organizers include the Custom Motor Show and Jönköping Horse Show.

Elmia AB is part of the Jönköpings Rådhus AB group, which is 100% owned by Jönköping Municipality. As an owner, the municipality has expectations for Elmia to contribute to Jönköping's attractiveness, benefiting both the business community and the municipality's residents.

About the position For 60 years, Elmia has created and developed the most important meeting and marketplace for several different industries, where many new collaborations have begun. We are now looking for someone who wants to take responsibility for and lead our continued development as one of the leading trade fair companies in the Nordic region. An important part of your mission is to continue the work of further developing our own successful trade fairs. Growth of the business and positive economic development are strategically important goals that require a strong focus on sales and profitability. With the support of dedicated employees and Elmia's very strong brand, you will have good conditions for success.

As CEO, you report to the company's board and have the ultimate responsibility for ensuring that the company is managed and developed according to owner directives, guidelines, and instructions. You lead an organization that has high expectations for continued development and proactivity within the company's area of operations. The assignment will require extensive contacts, network building, and collaboration with other actors.

We are looking for You are a successful leader and have experience as a manager of managers, leading and developing a business-oriented organization under your own responsibility. Good experience in business negotiations is a requirement, as is fluency in both Swedish and English. Other language skills are an advantage, as is experience working in a politically governed organization.

Your experience and competence are important, just as your leadership and personal qualities. You are a communicative leader who understands the importance of clarity, responsiveness, and dialogue. You have the ability to create an open and trusting work environment where employees feel heard, involved in decisions, and motivated to contribute to change. By communicating in an inspiring and goal-oriented way, you strengthen employees' engagement and willingness to collaborate. Adapting communication to different situations and needs is a given, as is conveying a clear direction and vision for the business.

You have strong drives to achieve results and are creative and development-oriented when it comes to new business opportunities. The ability to build good relationships both internally and externally will be crucial for your success, and of course, you must also possess good strategic and analytical skills.
