About the role

As an electrical power engineer, you are part of this specialist group that works on projects for heavy industry. This could be within network companies, large real estate companies, hospitals, or similar. Together with experienced colleagues, you will have varied tasks to match your interests, knowledge, and skills. For example, this could include design, inspection, report writing, calculations, construction, investigations, and other tasks in general power services that the department offers to its clients. The workgroup is a specialist group that often has small and shorter projects, which means there is a lot of variation. You will be involved in all stages, from feasibility studies and design to construction and inspection.

The work is mainly done in the office, but in the long run, it may also involve being on-site with the end customer. This is a perfect opportunity for you who want to develop in electrical power, AFRY has a wide range of clients, so there are many different paths for you to take.

Your profile

To take on the role of an electrical power engineer, you have a relevant education. There are two different relevant directions, you can either have completed a vocational education in electrical power and previous work experience as an electrician, or have completed a more theoretical education where you have a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical power. Both of these directions are suitable, and tasks will be adapted accordingly.

As a person, you need to be humble and curious to learn new things and take on new challenges.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of work experience as an electrical power engineer.
• University degree in electrical power (or vocational education specifically in electrical power).
• Knowledge of Cad.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Knowledge of network calculations.
• Driver's license.

Merits

• Knowledge of the CAD program elMaster or elproCad.
