Job Description

You will be part of a small team whose main mission is to create functional and attractive urban spaces where we take care of and develop both green values and our built environment.

As a project and construction manager, your main tasks will be to drive investment projects focusing on land and infrastructure. You are involved in the early planning stages and then take over the responsibility in the implementation phase where you lead all stages of the production phase, prepare tender documents, procure contractors, and in the construction phase, you oversee the municipality's interests and act as a construction manager.

The projects vary from smaller to larger projects, from a few months to a couple of years. Among other things, you will work on new and reconstruction of streets, squares, park environments, and playgrounds, but also participate in the expansion of new detailed development areas. You are responsible for the projects with a focus on time, cost, and content and manage several projects simultaneously.

You are active in contacts with colleagues to gather knowledge from different professions and coordinate these so that all societal needs are considered in the design and implementation phases. You work closely with unit managers, traffic planners, plan coordinators, and operations staff. You also have consultants and contractors on framework agreements to assist you.

Lilla Edet is a relatively small municipality where we share the tasks that need to be performed. You are unpretentious and work with joy on both large and small issues, even if it is somewhat outside your area of expertise.

Qualifications

You express yourself well verbally and in writing.

You have a great understanding and respect for budget frameworks, and your work contributes to cost-effectiveness. You have the ability to plan projects from start to finish, focusing on time, cost, and quality.

We are looking for someone with the following experiences:

• Good knowledge of the land and construction process and documented experience in planning, project management, cost monitoring, forecasting, KMA, procurement, and production.
• You should have worked as a construction manager/site manager/site manager or as a project manager in land and construction for at least 5 years. You have experience from construction work on roads.
• You should have good knowledge of the roles of being a work environment coordinator, BAS-P, and BAS-U.
• You have good knowledge of contract and consulting law.
• You have a civil or university engineering degree or other construction technical education or have acquired equivalent knowledge through extensive work experience.
• Knowledge and experience in geotechnics is a merit.
