We are looking for a road and land designer for Trafikverket, stationed in Skövde.

This is a consulting assignment.

The position is part-time with a scope of 50 percent.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

Trafikverket, Operations Area Maintenance, Western Region, Unit Road North, Skaraborg area is procuring one named resource for construction management in Basic Maintenance Road within the management of basic maintenance contracts and one named resource for road and land design for additional orders, ÄTA within the contracts. The Skaraborg area includes three operational areas: Western Skaraborg, Northern Skaraborg, and Southern Skaraborg.

Examples of Work Tasks

Prepare action proposals and produce construction documents. - Examples of work where design may be relevant include the preparation of documents for the construction of bus stops, noise protection for properties, sizing of road culverts, left turn lanes, curve widening, sight blasting, and traffic safety-enhancing measures. Preparation of the analysis basis for decisions and decision-making for small and uncomplicated measures. - The assignment includes producing documented decision support and preparing decisions for SO measures (previously Type case-1) in accordance with Trafikverket's report “Planning of roads and railways, version 1”, section 4.

Requirements (IMPORTANT, mandatory)

The resource consultant must meet the following competency requirements: - Must be able to express themselves well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. - Hold a valid B driver's license. - Completed education as a construction engineer 120P or equivalent. - The road and land designer must have at least three years of experience in road and land design. The projects must have been carried out where VGU (Design of Roads and Streets) is a requirement. - Completed the following courses at Trafikverksskolan/Asfaltskolan (if not, this must be completed by 2025.08.31). o Asphalt Pavements – General course or equivalent. o Detailed design – street/road or equivalent. o Chaos Basic o Chaos Delivery
