Just north of the picturesque town of Sunne, along the beautiful inland road E45 and Lake Fryken, lies Hotel Frykenstrand. Here, our guests can take walks in the forest, mountains, and valleys, or bring their yoga mat out into the garden. Swim and fish, enjoy delicious seasonal dishes, and take a sauna bath at sunset by Lake Fryken. With this scenic environment, peace is brought to the soul, and these are some of our strengths. Our rooms are cozy with a rural and classic hotel environment, varying in size on several floors. Our conference guests meet in large and small meeting rooms, and whether traveling privately, for business, with friends, or as a wedding couple, we can together create a complete experience with unforgettable memories in a genuine Värmland environment.
Seasons dictate our working climate here. Summertime and Christmas are high season, while other times of the year are quieter. We have a family-like way of working, meaning we help and take care of each other. We are proud of our work and always strive to improve so that our guests feel well taken care of and thus become messengers of our good reputation.
It is good to know that the transport connections along European Route E45 are not the best, so it is important that you can transport yourself to and from the workplace.
The hotel is a member of Visita and has a collective agreement with HRF.
We are looking for a chef.
You have a genuine interest in food and flavor combinations. Here, we cook from scratch, and it requires good knowledge of classic Swedish cuisine as we are known for good and well-cooked home-cooked meals. Your tasks include everything from preparing conference lunches, à la carte dishes, and menus for larger events such as weddings and Christmas buffets. You work both independently and together. You have great responsibility and can perform under high pressure during our peak seasons and be creative during quieter periods. Working hours vary, including days and evenings. The kitchen naturally cleans and washes its surfaces and premises and helps colleagues in other departments.
Qualifications: Education in kitchen, restaurant, and bar, as well as previous work experience, are advantageous. Some training also takes place on site.
