Kopparbo Scout Camp is looking for a Head of Operations for the 2025 season.

As the Head of Operations at Kopparbo, you will be responsible for our guests and staff, program activities at Kopparbo, for the facilities indoors and outdoors, as well as for food and the kitchen.

Your main task is to plan and lead the work of the staff (employees, Swedish and foreign volunteers) and participate in the daily work related to guest activities and maintenance of the facilities.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Guest safety and well-being
  • Our goal is to provide guests with the best possible service and experience in terms of hospitality, activities, food, and accommodation at Kopparbo
  • Supervising other staff and volunteers
  • Creating a pleasant atmosphere, ensuring safety, and providing leadership for employees and volunteers working at Kopparbo
  • Training staff and volunteers to lead activities
  • Managing the daily operations of the facilities

You will ensure that the facilities are maintained and operated according to the board's goals and operational plan.

Your job is to lead, allocate, and participate in work on the farm, in the administration, as well as in the kitchen and when work involves laundry and cleaning.

  • Communication and reporting
  • You will report to the board at board meetings, phone meetings, and whenever the board needs to be informed about the status of the facilities

Personal qualities

As a person, you are independent and take initiative but are also good at collaborating with others. You build trusting relationships with our volunteers and customers. You enjoy working in a team but also have the ability to work independently and prioritize in your work. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Requirements

  • Experience in management and working with young people

  • Driver's license (B)

Desirable qualifications

  • Green card for climbing

  • Chainsaw license (B or higher)

  • Experience in driving a tractor

About the position

The position is a seasonal employment from May 1st to September 30th, 2025. Irregular working hours may occur. Simple accommodation is available on the premises.

Kopparbo - A Place for Scouting

Kopparbo is a foundation-owned scout camp located just outside Söderbärke, not far from Malingsbo. The activities at Kopparbo are conducted during the summer season from May 1st to September 30th. Our guests include larger and smaller scout troops visiting Kopparbo for scout camps and school classes of various ages visiting Kopparbo for educational camps.
