About the Psychiatric Emergency Department

The emergency department offers acute psychiatric assessments and care interventions every day from 8 am to 10 pm. The unit consists of about 25 employees of various professional categories; doctors, nurses, mental health attendants, and medical secretaries. The unit is located in Södermalm.

The emergency department also has responsibility for psychiatric consultations at Södersjukhuset where we conduct acute psychiatric assessments on somatic patients.

Your work as Chief Physician

As a specialist physician/chief physician with us, you have a varied and stimulating work in the unit's different functions. You will work with assessments at the emergency department and as a psychiatric consultant at SöS. The job also includes being on-call during the day for resident doctors and junior doctors at the emergency department. On-call work by agreement.

Our expectations of you

We are looking for a specialist physician in psychiatry with an interest in actively contributing to the development of the operation. Your own ideas on how the operation can be improved are welcome. You are flexible in your work approach and can meet varying needs. You have a good ability to collaborate and communicate. Personal suitability is highly valued. Experience in acute psychiatric assessments is a merit.
