The Eye Clinic is looking for a registered nurse, eye nurse, or optician interested in eye care.

The eye department is one of Sweden's five largest eye care facilities. Our university hospital consists of two units. A medical unit with a large outpatient clinic and a surgical unit. The outpatient clinic has a team-based operation in general ophthalmology, glaucoma, medical retina, pediatric ophthalmology, neuro-ophthalmology, and uveitis. The surgical unit includes a large vitreo-retinal surgical section and an anterior segment surgical section with a corneal center. In total, we have over 130 employees in the facility. We strive to be at the forefront of high medical quality in several areas, including medical retina. Here, there is advanced equipment including navigated retinal lasers and wide-field imaging. There is a long tradition of participating in international clinical drug trials and excellent opportunities for research. The university hospital has a close collaboration with Örebro University, where medical education is offered. The eye department has an active teaching and training operation. Nurse/Eye Nurse/Optician, Eye Clinic USÖ

Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who wants to start working with us on a temporary basis (with good opportunities for extension) and who has a great interest in eye care! We can offer an exciting job that is independent, technical, and where you also have a lot of patient contact. In the role, you will independently perform measurements and various eye examinations such as visual field checks, injections, pressure measurements, fundus photography, and vision tests.

Telephone counseling and work in the eye clinic's emergency department are also part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will work with medication management and assist in outpatient procedures. The work is carried out in close collaboration with ophthalmologists, and the tasks will initially be adapted to your experience and educational background. The tasks may vary depending on the needs of the operation.

The eye clinic is a large facility that receives approximately 250 patients daily.
