The Jämtland Gymnasium Federation is responsible for upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, and parts of adult education in our member municipalities. The federation's seven schools are located in nature and mountain-adjacent environments spread across five municipalities – Bräcke, Krokom, Ragunda, Åre, and Östersund.

Jämtlands Gymnasium Torsta is located in Ås, about ten kilometers west of Östersund. Torsta is one of our nature management high schools, where practice and theory are combined with nature and the farm as classrooms. To educate the future farmers and forestry workers, we use both traditional and high-tech equipment. Some of what is produced on the farm is used in our popular farm restaurant.

Description

We are looking for a certified teacher in physical education and health for a 30% position starting on August 12, 2025.

The position is a permanent employment and is located at our nature management school in Ås.

Your Future Responsibilities

You will teach physical education and health for grades 1 and 2 in the nature management program.

The teaching is scheduled for Monday and Thursday afternoons. As a physical education teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching according to the curriculum, focusing on inspiring joy in movement, building good habits, and strengthening students' physical and mental health.

You will work closely with both colleagues and student health services to create a safe and inclusive learning environment where every student is given the opportunity to develop.
