Service Technician at the Laundry in Alingsås

The Supply Management Administration is a department within the Västra Götalandsregion. The operations are conducted throughout Västra Götaland with a focus on supply and logistics for the region's various activities. We develop and deliver services including meals, laundry, pharmaceutical-related products, and aids, as well as storing and distributing products.

We are now looking for a Service Technician for the Technical unit at the Laundry in Alingsås.

About the position

As a Service Technician at the Laundry in Alingsås, you will have the opportunity to be part of an exciting development journey. Your work is varied and involves operation, supervision, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our machinery. When needed, you will participate in new installations and project startups. Continuous improvement work is part of everyday life as we constantly strive to develop and optimize our processes and working methods.

The working hours for the position are scheduled on weekdays, and you will work in 2-shifts.

About you

We are looking for someone with a technical high school education or equivalent work experience deemed relevant by the employer. You have several years of professional experience as a service technician and a strong technical understanding. You have experience in troubleshooting and are accustomed to interpreting electrical diagrams. As a person, you are responsible and have the ability to work in a structured manner to ensure good quality and results. Since you will be part of both a smaller team and a larger organization, it is important that you are cooperative, communicative, helpful, and service-oriented.

The position also requires that:

• You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• You are computer literate and comfortable with digital systems.
• You have the physical ability to walk and stand throughout the workday, lift heavy objects, or perform repetitive tasks.

Previous experience in industry, IT, or automation is an advantage. If you have previously interacted with suppliers, for example, during escalation of machine problems or requests for quotes, that can also be a plus. Good language skills in English are also beneficial.

About the Laundry

The Laundry in Alingsås supplies healthcare within the Västra Götalandsregion with laundry, textiles, and sterile products. Every day, our production chain sorts and handles 37 tons of laundry, which we then deliver back to our customers. The operation is certified according to ISO 9001 and 14001, and we have approximately 240 employees.
