At the Planning and Development Unit, which is part of the City Planning Department, we work to create a sustainable and attractive municipality. Here, competencies such as urban planners, traffic strategists, and development engineers come together in an environment characterized by collaboration, commitment, and respect.

Qualifications

We are looking for a driven and analytical urban planner who enjoys strategic work and is willing to take a leading role. To succeed in the role, you have a relevant university education in fields such as urban planning or physical planning, as well as documented experience in strategic urban planning and project management.

Responsibilities

Keep the development on track by ensuring that the comprehensive plan is up to date and that the municipality's development aligns with the plan. You follow up, drive forward, and propose updates and additions where needed.
Develop strategies for the future. Work on thematic additions and deepening of the comprehensive plan. Develop guidelines for housing supply and other important societal issues.
Represent the municipality at the regional level. Monitor the municipality's interests in inter-municipal and regional contexts, such as regional development plans and infrastructure planning.
Engage and include by leading consultations and dialogues with residents, business owners, and authorities to gather valuable input and build a common vision for the future.
Drive projects from idea to decision by taking responsibility for project management – from consultations to decisions – and ensure efficient and quality processes.
Provide expertise by contributing input to detailed planning work from a comprehensive planning perspective and ensure that holistic thinking is always present.
Communicate and create collaboration by formulating consultation responses, opinions, and service statements. Build and maintain regional networks to drive comprehensive planning work forward.
