ABOUT THE POSITION

Mips sells its products to helmet manufacturers who implement Mips technology in helmets, which are then marketed and sold to end-users. Mips works with several of the larger helmet manufacturers in the world within the sports helmet category, but also sells the company's solutions to brands operating in the motorcycle and safety helmet categories. Mips has its headquarters in Täby, where their unique testing facility is located. In the role of laboratory technician, you will spend a lot of time in this testing facility among other things.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

As a laboratory technician, you will be part of an engineering team consisting of 20 engineers and 4 project managers who all work to implement Mips products in customer helmets. You will work on exciting development and research projects, where you will of course have help and guidance from experienced engineers. Mips customers range from some of the largest helmet manufacturers around the world to small startups.

A typical project for the engineering team includes drafting in CAD, testing helmets in Mips lab, reviewing prototypes in the workshop, and documentation and follow-up. Your role in that chain will be to support your team of engineers with various tasks that may include:

• Testing and evaluation of Mips products: Performing and analyzing quality controls/tests on helmets/products according to a specified list, reporting results and improvement suggestions to the responsible engineer.
• Maintenance and further development of Mips Test Lab: Mips has a world-leading test lab for helmet testing that is under constant development. You will be the key person in identifying and implementing improvements and ensuring that the lab is always in top condition.
• Prototype building: Assist as needed in building prototypes in the workshop.
• Specialist resource and support: Function as a specialist for testing and support for the team, where prototype work with 3D printing and CAD may also occur, as well as ensuring that necessary tools and proper equipment are available in the Test Lab and workshop.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has graduated from high school with a technical focus or has a post-secondary education as an engineer in a relevant field.
• Has a strong interest in technology and enjoys a varied everyday life that includes hands-on work in Mips test lab or workshop.
• Is meticulous and has an eye for detail as well as understanding mechanical relationships.
• Speaks and writes fluently in English and Swedish.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Previous work experience in a similar role in a manufacturing company, where you have tested products and their quality.
