Welcome to us

Stureby nursing and care home is 15 minutes by subway from Stockholm Central, 2 minutes from the Svedmyra subway station.

We are a municipal nursing home with a dementia focus, with 90 care places spread over 4 floors and 11 departments. During evenings, nights, and weekends, the nurse is responsible for several nearby homes where we perform urgent interventions if needed. These interventions are handled via phone or physical visits.

About 100 employees work within the organization, including ten nurses distributed across day and night shifts, and three assistant unit managers available Monday to Friday.

The work with us is based on the team and a salutogenic approach focusing on creating a sense of coherence for both residents and staff.

Managers and nurses sit close to their departments. Nurses are organized under one manager. In addition to the MAS, there is a health and medical care coordinator within the organization for support.

We are looking for you who are interested in summer temporary work 50% and above

and can work as a substitute during the summer. The employment concerns day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Your mission as a nurse

As an employee with us in special housing for the elderly (Säbo), you are an important part of our work to actively work and contribute so that the residents feel safe, seen, involved, appreciated, and important. We base our work on a salutogenic approach focusing on creating a sense of coherence for both residents and staff. Our care and nursing are person-centered, focusing on health, well-being, and quality of life.

The work involves nursing tasks in municipal special housing for the elderly in accordance with the Health and Medical Care Act (HSL). Your work is based on ensuring that the care and nursing provided are patient-safe. The daily work mainly consists of guidance, medication management, wound care, urgent assessments, and documentation in Vodok 2.0/ICF. It is an independent job while you have close cooperation with nursing staff and guide them in nursing work. You follow up on your mission together with the responsible manager. Managers in the organization work closely with operations and have regular follow-ups and provide support to nurses in collaboration with nursing staff.

Together and in close collaboration with others in the team, you plan and develop the care. You ensure that the residents receive the treatment prescribed by the doctor up to the nurse level. The role includes contact with relatives regarding your area of responsibility.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who:

  • Are a licensed nurse
  • Speak and write Swedish fluently. This is important in communication with residents, documentation, and collaboration with colleagues and external contacts.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience working as a nurse in elderly care
  • Experience with the documentation system Vodok 2.0/ICF, Epsilon, or other relevant systems
  • Experience working with quality registers in elderly care
