Description

Herrgårdsgymnasiet launched the Industrial Technology program for the academic year 24/25, and there is now a full application for places for the upcoming autumn.

Therefore, we are now looking for an engaged person who wants to help develop the Industrial Education together with high school colleagues and teachers at the adult education's industrial center.

The high school and adult education share facilities and collaborate within the Electrical and Energy program, where we are now expanding the collaboration to also include the Industrial program.

Responsibilities

The position involves teaching in industry, both theory and practice. You should be competent in both areas. The position includes mentorship.

We see good relationships between teachers and students as one of the most important success factors, and we expect you to take significant personal responsibility and be proactive in structuring the work in the best way. You contribute in and outside the work team with your professional competence, and it is important that you have the ability to motivate students in their learning and are positive, curious, attentive, and clear in your communication, while valuing everyone's differences. You are flexible and see your part of the work as part of a broader perspective.

Qualifications

Primarily, we are looking for someone who is a licensed vocational teacher or has high competence and solid industry experience. We place great importance on personal qualities and value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs.

In addition to your professional competence, we see that you have a broad network within your industry. Since the education is conducted in collaboration with the local business community, good local knowledge and industry knowledge are meritorious.

Our specializations are welding technology and product and machine technology. It is an advantage if you have knowledge in both of these specializations.

It is also advantageous if you have knowledge in low current, alarms, and communication networks, as teaching students in both the industrial and electrical programs may be part of the position.
