Sundsta-Älvkullegymnasiet is one of Sweden's newest and most modern high schools and one of the largest.

The school has about 2000 students and 250 staff. Our vision is simple. Our students should reach their goals and be well prepared for the future. We achieve this by focusing on school joy, good relationships, and quality.

As a teacher at Sundsta-Älvkullegymnasiet, you will be part of a work team, and teachers meet regularly in subject conferences. Collaborating, sharing experiences, and learning from each other is very important for developing our operations. The implementation of the new subject grading reform (Gy25) is upcoming. This development work will continue over the next few years.

Responsibilities

Are you interested in teaching chemistry and biology and also planning a new subject (biotechnology) with our fantastic students and teachers? In the natural science program, you are never alone with challenges and questions. The openness between teachers is great, and we have a shared responsibility for all students to succeed.

You will initially teach chemistry and biology and supervise the gymnasial project work. Your role as a teacher also includes mentorship, which is an important part of the school's work to create a safe and supportive learning environment for all students. You will also work with students in need of support in chemistry and biology. During the school year, you will plan the subject biotechnology together with other teachers, which we will start in the school year 27-28.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license in chemistry, biology, and biotechnology. You enjoy working collaboratively in a team and with subject colleagues. You have the ability to meet, motivate, and develop others based on different conditions.

You find it easy to collaborate and are flexible and accustomed to problem-solving, as well as working both independently and in a group. You meet students and colleagues with good ethics and sound values. To succeed in the role, you are clear and good at creating and maintaining good relationships.

You are well-versed in the school's knowledge and value foundation mission. You are curious and enjoy trying new things while also appreciating order and structure. You are comfortable with modern school digital technology and dare to try new working methods and approaches.
