Sundsta-Älvkullegymnasiet was inaugurated in August 2021 and is one of Sweden's newest and most modern high schools, as well as one of the largest.

Responsibilities

We are now looking for a special educator or special teacher for the Humanities program and our new Resource High School. As a special teacher/special educator, you will collaborate with the student health team and with teachers in the working groups around the students. The assignment is a combination of supporting students during the school day and also conducting pedagogical assessments and writing action plans.

You will work at the organizational, group, and individual levels to support students' development towards the educational goals. Each student's individual conditions and opportunities are the starting point for the work. You will work to create environments that promote students' learning, development, and health. Achieving this requires close collaboration between school management, student health, libraries, mentors, and educators.

You will work with students both individually and in smaller groups but will also provide support in students' regular classroom instruction.

Qualifications

You should be an educated special educator or special teacher. Experience from working in high school is an advantage. In your working style, you are structured and have a good ability to express yourself both in writing and verbally.

As a person, you are flexible and attentive, and you have a good ability to plan and prioritize your work. An important quality is that you easily create good relationships and have the ability to motivate and support students.

You have good collaboration skills and an interest in working together in teams. You can adapt to new conditions and adjust your working methods according to the needs of students and the organization. Personal suitability is of great importance.
