Psychiatry operates in all municipalities, and habilitation services are available in Karlskrona and Karlshamn.

The psychiatry department has established a career ladder for psychologists, where we have special positions for specialists in addition to licensed psychologists. We also have a position for a specialist psychologist with functional responsibility. The latter is part of the management team and contributes with their professional expertise.

We are currently seeking a PTP psychologist for our adult psychiatric outpatient clinic in Karlskrona. Approximately 40 people work at the clinic, including doctors, psychologists, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, occupational therapists, medical secretaries, and administrative staff. In Blekinge psychiatry, we strive for a high level of education among our staff.

Region Blekinge's PTP Program:

For applicants as PTP psychologists, Region Blekinge offers a PTP program aimed at providing PTP psychologists with knowledge about various aspects of the psychologist role and different tasks. The program consists of lectures, study visits, and discussions where PTP psychologists have the opportunity to exchange experiences. The PTP program in Blekinge follows guidelines described in the PTP handbook. We are interested in PTP psychologists with various educational backgrounds.

About the Job

You will be part of a team with other professional categories and will have your own patients in various counseling contacts. There are opportunities to conduct psychotherapy based on your training in the psychology program. You will conduct assessments and diagnostic evaluations of various psychiatric conditions, such as assessments of cognitive functions, diagnostic evaluations of general psychiatric character, as well as in-depth assessments and evaluations of more complex conditions such as neuropsychiatric disorders, psychoses, personality disorders, dissociative syndromes, bipolar syndromes, etc. All work is done under supervision, both with the mandatory PTP supervision and additional methodological supervision and regular team supervision.

As a PTP psychologist, you will receive continuous supervision, regular professional meetings, and opportunities for further education.

PTP service duration: 1 year.
