We are now looking for someone who wants to take the next step and contribute your railway expertise in the role of Project and Construction Manager with a focus on track/rail at SYSTRA!

As a project and construction manager in track and rail with us, you will be a key player in our railway projects. You will work as a consultant and represent our clients, which gives you a central role in the execution of the projects. You will be involved in the entire project cycle – from early stages, where your expertise will be beneficial, to leading and coordinating construction management in ongoing projects. Your responsibilities will range from creating conditions for effective and safe construction to leading production issues and coordinating the contractors' work, focusing on time, cost, and quality.

Depending on your profile, you will work with:

• Construction management in track and rail, where you support the client with technical solutions and ensure the progress of the contract.
• BPU assignments in track and rail, responsible for following up the contractor's work and checking quantities and performance.
• Project management and/or sub-project management, responsible for schedules, budgets, resource planning, and tracking against project goals.
• Conducting production, technical, and construction meetings to ensure that all aspects of the constructions proceed as planned.
• Specialist support during design and preparation of tender documents.

The projects you will work on are mainly located in the regions of Halland, Västra Götaland, and Värmland.

Furthermore, you have a structured work method and a results-oriented drive that ensures you deliver according to set goals while managing challenges in a solution-focused manner.

To be considered for the role, you also need:

• High school education.
• Basic education in track/rail.
• BASTAB certification.
• At least 5 years of documented experience in railway projects as a consultant or contractor.
• Experience with investment or operation and maintenance contracts in railways.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Good knowledge of the Office suite.
• Driver's license B.

Meritorious:

• University degree in construction and civil engineering, or in electrical engineering.
• Traffic Agency's TTJ certification.
• Göteborg tramway TRI certification.
• IBTL-Rail or Inspector rail/switch.
• Experience in a leadership position such as supervisor, site manager, project manager, BPU, etc.
• Experience in conducting meetings such as technical meetings, production meetings, or construction meetings.
• System strong, with experience of the Traffic Agency's or municipalities' systems.

Location and other information

We offer a permanent position at SYSTRA AB, starting by agreement. Your main placement will be at our office in Gothenburg or Karlstad, but we also offer flexibility to work remotely a few days a week. Since much of the work takes place in our projects, the role may involve travel.
