Construction Leader at Göteborg Energi

Your Task

The construction leader role is varied, and you will have developing tasks with a lot of personal responsibility. You play an important role as the project manager's right hand in matters of execution in our contracts in district heating, district cooling, water and gas networks. Through your presence in the field and thanks to your experiences and ability to maintain good dialogue with our contractors and other stakeholders, you are a key person for ensuring good progress in the projects and that we can continue to provide reliable deliveries of heat, cooling, and gas in the future.

Your tasks include;

• Ensuring that our projects run as they should together with the project managers.
• Participating in start and construction meetings, where you represent Göteborg Energi in collaboration with contractors and designers together with the project manager.
• Monitoring project results for Göteborg Energi by actively being present, ensuring quality and timelines are followed, and managing deviations and risks during project execution.
• Being responsible for ongoing reporting to the project manager and deciding on and managing changes within delegated authority.

Your Team

The Project Connection unit currently consists of 11 project managers divided into two teams, one focusing on service connections for district heating and cooling, gas, and water, while the other team works with indoor installations for the same segments. We have an important mission to participate in the green transition and to contribute with an environmentally friendly alternative to electricity. We are a close-knit group that believes in helping each other succeed while also having fun at work.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone with previous experience in similar tasks or coordination on construction sites with a focus on earthworks. You also have experience reading drawings and engaging in dialogue with contractors, clients, and designers. Experience in district heating or water is an advantage. You may have worked with pipes and welding and feel confident assessing the quality of completed welding work.

We seek someone who can work independently and is self-driven and feels comfortable communicating with our contractors, designers, and other stakeholders. Your loyalty and judgment make you a reliable and appreciated colleague. Your communication skills are excellent, and you handle conflicts in a professional and smooth manner. You are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. Since climbing may be involved in your work, a medical examination may be required for a fitness certificate.
