One of the municipality's tasks is to ensure that residents receive the assistance they need to achieve a reasonable standard of living. The social committee is responsible for providing support and assistance to the elderly and people with disabilities, individuals with substance abuse and dependency issues, individuals facing financial difficulties, as well as children, youth, and parents.

Job Responsibilities

The job responsibilities include investigating, assessing, deciding on, and following up on support and assistance measures for the elderly, individuals with mental disabilities, and others with functional variations. The work is carried out in accordance with applicable legislation, such as the Social Services Act and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS).

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, social care, or another post-secondary education that the employer deems equivalent, where law and authority exercise are included. Experience in similar work is an advantage.

The position requires you to have a good ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing, as well as to create and maintain good contacts. You can structure your work, work independently, and have strong collaboration skills. You are flexible, proactive, and we place great importance on your personal suitability. You have a positive view of people and the ability to see and strengthen individuals' own resources. The ability and willingness to collaborate with other actors is of great importance.

A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement for the position.

Scope

Full-time, permanent. Start as soon as possible or by agreement.
