Ellös School is located in the western part of Orust. A school where we have the sea and the forest right next to us. Ellös School currently has 140 students. We are a single-parallel school with two after-school care departments. Our vision at Ellös School is that we are expected, curious, daring, and willing. Our main goal is for all students to feel safe and thrive while learning in an enjoyable way. We prioritize continuity and encourage our students to dare to try new things. Through collaboration, social skills, and independence, we strive to prepare our students for continued success in their schooling.

We have certified teachers and other resource educators in the organization. In addition to educators in school and after-school care, we have special teachers, special educators, a school nurse, and a counselor. The school psychologist has access to the organization once a month. At a small school, you need to be prepared to be extra solution-focused and flexible, which makes the job extra stimulating.

Your tasks

Are you an engaged and passionate teacher who is dedicated to creating a positive and educational school environment for students in grades 1–6?

We are looking for a certified teacher/mentor who wants to take responsibility for their own class and work closely with both colleagues in the work team and other teachers connected to the class. In the role of mentor, you will have a central role in your students' daily lives and development. Your main tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Teaching and mentorship: Plan and conduct teaching in accordance with the curriculum and provide support and guidance to students.
• System management: Use and manage various digital systems such as SchoolSoft and Prorenata to register attendance, document student development, and communicate with parents.
• Quality work: Actively contribute to the systematic quality work at the school. This includes planning, implementation, follow-up, and analysis of teaching and other school-related activities.

You will be part of the work team together with other teachers who teach at the same level and the larger work team F-6. • Has a relevant teaching degree and qualifications for grades 1–6.
• Experience and ability to be a safe and clear leader in the classroom.
• Has experience and is comfortable using digital tools and systems.
• Is structured and has a good ability to plan and follow up on students' learning and development.
• Is engaged in contributing to the school's quality work and development and has an interest in continuously developing teaching methods and pedagogical strategies together with colleagues and students.
• A respectful team player who both gives and takes within the work team.
