The Swedish Armed Forces is looking for an IT Specialist

Main Responsibilities

In your duties, you will work with implementations and changes that lead to our environments becoming more efficient through, for example, automation. You will also provide technical support to our architects in the design work. You will translate the technical requirements of the business into appropriate technical choices. The position is part of a team where the job involves you and the team having significant responsibility, where you are expected to be self-driven and solution-oriented to achieve the set goals together.

Qualifications

• University or college education in IT, or equivalent acquired education/experience that the Armed Forces considers equivalent
• Current multi-year work experience in network virtualization and IT security
• Current multi-year work experience with good knowledge of VMware
• Current multi-year work experience with good knowledge of version control tools, such as Git management
• Current multi-year work experience with good knowledge of PowerShell or another scripting language
• Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
• Swedish citizenship

Meritorious

• Experience in environments with very high security requirements
• Experience in complex IT environments
• Experience with DevOps services and products
• Experience with VPN and routing
• Experience working agile
• Experience with any of the following:
• Container platforms
• Management tools within VMware
• Backup tools in a virtualization environment
• Log management for troubleshooting purposes
• Clustered SQL instances
• Test-driven development
• Driver's license at least class B

As a person, you need to be curious and solution-oriented. We see that you have a good ability to work independently and prioritize among your tasks, while it is also important to be a good teammate and have good cooperation with your colleagues. You are comfortable working in an organization undergoing change and growth where your security awareness is high. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Other

The employment form is a permanent civilian position full-time, starting with a 6-month probationary period for candidates who are currently not employed by the Armed Forces. The place of employment is Stockholm. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement. Business trips may occur in the work.
