Special Teacher for the Child and Education Sector

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you an engaged special teacher with a passion for supporting students in their reading and writing development? Do you want to be part of a pedagogical team that makes a real difference? Then this might be the position for you!

As a special teacher, you will be part of our student health team where we work purposefully to support students in need of assistance. You will contribute to creating an inclusive learning environment throughout the school. It is important that you have a good ability to build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.

You will work on behalf of the special educator and the interventions decided by the principal, which may involve a high degree of flexibility. Interventions you will work with are both at the group level and individual level based on identified needs and previous results.

You will collaborate with teaching teachers in the respective subject where we have an ongoing intervention to provide the best conditions for students to succeed.

You are responsible for conducting assessments and investigations of students' reading and writing abilities. For this purpose, we have various diagnostic tools.

You will work systematically with documentation of the interventions and provide feedback as needed to the student, guardian, teaching teacher, mentor, and other EHT members.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the position of special teacher, you need to be a certified teacher in Swedish and English and have a special teacher degree focused on reading and writing.

We prefer that you have experience working with students in middle or high school.

You need to possess good social skills and a high degree of flexibility.

To start working in preschool, school, leisure centers, and other educational activities, you must provide an extract from the criminal record. The extract is valid for one year and can be ordered from the National Police Board www.polisen.se (http://www.polisen.se).

Those who have not shown an extract from the criminal record cannot be employed, contracted, or received in the organization according to current legal requirements.
