The Promotion and Prevention unit is part of the Department of Social Services and Recreation, Bromma SDF, which consists of: Recreation/Youth House, field operations, parent advisors, school social workers, community guidance, and contracted youth clinics.

The unit consists of 21 employees led by a unit manager, including a group leader. Within the unit, there is also a method developer and an administrative assistant. We are located in pleasant premises in Alvik, Islandstorget, Bromma Blocks, and Blackeberg, with proximity to public transportation. Within the unit, we work intensively on development and innovation and have a strong citizen focus. Collaboration is a key principle within the unit.

Your role

As a parent advisor, you will offer individual and group conversations based on a parent-centered approach (FCA) for information, support, and guidance regarding parenting for children aged 0-6 years. You will have many contacts with internal and external collaboration partners such as BVC, BMM, and open preschools. You need to express yourself well in speech and writing and have good collaboration skills.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for you with:

• A degree in social work
• Experience in social work with children and guardians.

Meritorious

Training in conversation support and motivational interviewing is meritorious for the role. We would also like you to have training as a group leader in parent support programs such as ABC, KOMET.
