Start date 1/6 with an introduction well in advance before the position begins.

The shifts will be scheduled for afternoon/evening plus weekends with separate services for awake night shifts.

We are looking for dedicated and confident personal assistants for a 7-year-old boy with significant supervision needs and some care requirements. Due to his illness, he has difficult-to-treat epilepsy, intellectual disabilities, and autism. He needs supervision around the clock and an assistant who can create a calm and secure daily life.

About the boy:

The boy is a cheerful and charming kid who loves to swim and listen to music. He communicates partly with words and partly with body language. Previously, his primary language has been sign language support, which is still helpful for him. Therefore, it is advantageous if you have experience with sign language support. His mood can change quickly, and it is important that you as an assistant have a calm and patient personality. Experience in low-arousal approaches and managing outwardly aggressive behavior is a plus.

About the role:

As an assistant, you need to be attentive and stay one step ahead to minimize risks and create a safe daily life. The work primarily takes place at home, which requires good collaboration skills, communication, and respectful interaction with both the boy and his family.

We prefer that you have experience in personal assistance and epilepsy, but personal suitability is the most important.

Requirements and merits:

✔️ You are calm, secure, and attentive

✔️ You have good empathetic skills and willingness to cooperate

✔️ Experience in low-arousal approaches is a plus

✔️ Experience in epilepsy and personal assistance is a plus

✔️ Knowledge of sign language support is a plus

✔️ A driver's license is advantageous but not a requirement
