Birkaskolan is centrally located in Ekerö municipality and there are good bus connections from Brommaplan. The school has children from preschool to grade 9, with a total of 320 students.

At Birkaskolan, we have an exciting time ahead as we will be moving to a newly built school for the next academic year 25/26. There, we will gather all our activities, preschool and primary school F-9, under one roof.

We are a Montessori school that offers good teaching, continuity, and safety in an inspiring and prepared environment. We want every student, based on their conditions, to grow and develop into an independent individual at their own pace.

We have a well-established value foundation consisting of the words participation, respect, development, and safety. These words are very much alive, and we work based on these values in everything we do. We are looking for a teacher with a license and qualification to teach handicrafts. We want you to have good collaboration skills, be flexible, and have a positive attitude. It is important that you enjoy challenges and are solution-oriented.

We are looking for someone who:

-is an experienced and committed teacher who shares our values and is interested in Montessori pedagogy

-is a qualified teacher in handicrafts

-is confident in your teaching role, a clear leader, and well-acquainted with the school's governing documents

-has the ability to meet students individually and create a positive climate in your teaching

-can build trusting relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, work independently, and have good leadership skills

-enjoys challenges

You will teach handicrafts from grades 3 to 9, and the position is 100% full-time. You will collaborate closely with other teachers in the work teams F-5 and 6-9.
