Estimator

Do you have a keen eye for detail, are business-minded, and passionate about creating estimates and cost calculations within the painting and flooring industry?

We are now looking for another estimator who wants to be a key player in our team and contribute to successful projects.

The position is based in Halmstad but works with the entire group.

Celandergruppen is a group with painting operations in the Gothenburg region, Skåne, Skaraborg, and Halland. In Mölndal, there is also a flooring and ceiling division. Group-wide staff functions are under development. In the role of estimator, you will work from our office in Halmstad, but collaborate across the group with estimator colleagues in other locations.

As an Estimator, you combine technical understanding with economic insight.

The role requires you to manage multiple projects simultaneously while contributing to the company's success by optimizing estimates and bids.

Your main responsibilities:

• Prepare cost calculations for projects in painting and flooring.
• Analyze drawings, technical specifications, and quantity lists to calculate material and labor costs.
• Provide base prices to submit bids in consultation with our CEO/operations managers
• Identify project opportunities and risks.
• Ensure that estimates consider timelines, resources, and profitability goals.
• Work closely with project managers, operations managers, and suppliers to ensure accurate estimates.
• Participate in follow-up meetings to compare estimated costs with outcomes.
• Stay updated on market prices for materials and services.

Qualifications:

• Experience in cost calculations and estimating work, within painting and flooring.
• Good understanding of technical drawings and construction processes.
• Knowledge of relevant estimating tools and software.
• A willingness to work both independently and in a team.
• Good skills in reading drawings and interpreting documents
• Proficiency in systems such as Hantverksdata, Målerikalkyl, and MEPS.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Word and other relevant programs.
• Ability to conduct financial analyses and assess project profitability.
• Experience in managing budgets and project follow-ups.

We consider it an advantage if you have worked in the construction and painting industry and have good knowledge of AMA, AB(t).
