Aviation Safety Officer

Are you a meticulous and structured officer with experience in aviation safety? We are now looking for a new team member for the test and evaluation of air. In close collaboration with an experienced team, you will play a central role in managing aviation safety matters and ensuring compliance with flight permits and regulations. Your work is crucial at every step – from developing instructions and reviewing documentation to monitoring and tracking validity. About the position

As an aviation safety officer, you will have a central role in managing aviation safety matters. You will participate in the development of essential instructions and guidelines for aviation safety work. The role also involves reviewing, assessing, and compiling documentation for flight permits, as well as preparing and reporting this documentation to the relevant issuer. As an aviation safety officer, you will also provide instructions and current flight permits to relevant stakeholders, as well as follow up and monitor the validity of issued flight permits. You will handle aviation safety assessments and monitor and manage incoming deviations. You will be part of keeping the Swedish military aircraft register up to date.

About you

We are looking for someone with a technical education at the high school level or equivalent competence acquired in another way that we consider equivalent. You have knowledge in design assurance and a good understanding of aviation safety work and regulations such as RML, SE-EMAR, or equivalent. To succeed in this role, it is essential that you easily understand and interpret technical publications in both Swedish and English. A basic requirement is that you hold a B driver's license.

It is an advantage if you have experience in flight testing, and we prefer that you have worked within continued aviation safety (CAMO) or within flight design (DO). If you have previous experience in configuration management, we see it as a benefit.

The test and evaluation of air operates within the aviation arena. We work with the verification and validation of aviation-related products, primarily on military platforms such as Gripen, transport aircraft, and helicopters. The goal of our operations is to support other FMV departments with subject-specific expertise and lead activities within verification and validation.
