Job Opening – Mechanic / Bus Driver

Are you passionate about fixing things and want to work with the maintenance of buses as well as drive our double-decker buses on scheduled routes along the coast? We are now looking for a mechanic for our depot in Umeå for about 50%. In addition, you will drive approximately 50% of the time on scheduled routes. The position mainly involves maintenance, but you will also be called upon to drive when needed. The position is 100% and permanent.

Job Description

As a mechanic at Connect Bus, you will work with service, repairs, and maintenance of buses. The role is varied and involves both independent work in the workshop as well as driving on scheduled routes when needed.

Workplace Description

The position is located at our depot in Umeå. You will work in a dynamic environment where no day is the same, and where we solve problems and develop our work methods together.

Main Responsibilities:

• Minor repairs on buses based on incoming daily fault reports
• Perform maintenance and repairs of vehicles according to professional standards
• Collaborate with the Vehicle Manager and management to streamline workflows
• Drive our buses on scheduled routes. Weekend work may occur

Who are you?

We are looking for an experienced mechanic with a strong technical interest. You enjoy working practically and have a problem-solving attitude. Furthermore, you are meticulous, independent, and can work structured even under time pressure. We expect you to have some experience in the driving profession. A D* driver's license is required.

Employment Scope

Employment type: Permanent position after a probationary period.
