Vattenfall Hydropower is responsible for Vattenfall's 90 hydropower plants and approximately 300 dams in the Nordic region. We have about 500 employees in Sweden and Finland, with our headquarters in Luleå. The renewable electricity production from hydropower is a prerequisite for creating a climate-smart and fossil-free society, where we play an important role as enablers for the sustainable energy systems of the future. We are now looking for an electrician in Stornorrfors!

As an electrician at Vattenfall Hydropower, you will work with electrical maintenance and projects at hydropower facilities.

You will be part of a maintenance group based in Stornorrfors, Lycksele, and Storuman. The group consists of electricians, mechanics, alarm technicians, warehouse technicians, team leaders, and managers. We work with shutdowns and status assessments, preventive maintenance, and renovation projects in the Ume River and Skellefte River, and we can also support colleagues in other parts of the country if needed.

Here are examples of your main tasks as an electrician with us:

• Status assessments and maintenance together with, for example, mechanics, production technicians, and contractors
• Report and analyze collected data in our maintenance system (SAP)
• Work with installations, repairs, periodic inspections, and service
• Plan and conduct annual battery tests
• Periodic inspection of electrical installations
• Participate in dam inspections with a particular focus on electrical installations
• Contribute to the planning and preparation of maintenance and project work and be responsible for smaller projects
• Contribute to the development of working methods for safe and efficient work with thorough risk assessments.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, safety-conscious, and enjoys working in a team. You have a high school or post-secondary education in electrical engineering. Experience in electrical maintenance at hydropower plants or similar industrial operations is an advantage. We also value knowledge in instrumentation and handling of measurement values.

You have good IT skills, strong knowledge of Swedish and English, and a B driver's license. The position involves travel, including occasional overnight stays.

Safety is our highest priority, and we are looking for an attentive and secure colleague. You take responsibility for ensuring that work is carried out both efficiently and safely, with a focus on continuous risk observations.

You will be based at the Stornorrfors power plant (about 15 km west of Umeå)
