The Regional Area of West Properties and Management has customer responsibility, acts as a representative for the property owner in matters concerning the region's property portfolio, and provides the region's operations with premises.

The Hospital Properties area consists of three units: Sahlgrenska, Östra, and Mölndal, and is responsible for the local supply for Sahlgrenska University Hospital. We carry out construction projects to take care of what already exists and when we need to build new. We coordinate overall needs and meet the healthcare operations at a consolidated and strategic level regarding local supply issues.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for project managers, both for permanent employment and for a temporary position, with a variation in experience levels.

As a project manager with us in the hospital properties area at the Sahlgrenska unit, you will lead investment projects, maintenance projects, reinvestment projects, and customer projects. You are responsible for preparing calculations, project designs, and driving projects within the established budget, time, and scope.

The projects are primarily carried out at Sahlgrenska Hospital, but other assignments may occur as needed at other units within Gothenburg (Östra Hospital or Mölndal Hospital).

As a project manager, you will be part of a unit consisting of Property Managers, Technical Managers, and Project Managers.

In your role as a project manager, you maintain and ensure good customer dialogue. You report to the project's steering group and collaborate with working groups consisting of those who will operate in our buildings and specialists in the industry. You are the one who handles all authority contacts in the projects and ensures that necessary permits are obtained and requirements are followed.

Qualifications

Educated as a civil engineer or equivalent, or other education or experience deemed equivalent. Experience in leading construction projects in positions such as project manager, project chief, production manager, project design manager, or equivalent.

You are used to and enjoy independently driving projects and building a project organization. Good experience in budget responsibility, financial management, negotiation, and follow-up. It is desirable if you have experience in construction contracts, preferably with a focus on collaboration and knowledge of contract law, as well as experience working in accordance with LOU.

You possess good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

Recruitment Process

The role is located at the region's house in Gothenburg. You need to have a B driver's license. Where possible, we use public transport for travel.

In the recruitment process, personality and skills tests are used in accordance with the guidelines of the Västra Götaland region. Selection and qualification questions are answered and used as a basis for selection.
