About the role

As a Purchasing Analyst, you will work closely with the purchasing manager and support Currentum's companies through data analysis, decision-making support, and process development. Your role is central to ensuring that the company has an effective and data-driven purchasing strategy.

Main responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of purchasing together with the purchasing manager.
  • Be responsible for statistics and data compilation as well as analysis.
  • Prepare decision-making support and recommendations for strategic decisions.
  • Prepare and analyze materials for negotiations.
  • Develop and maintain data models and collect relevant data.
  • Drive purchasing projects in collaboration with purchasing managers.
  • Develop processes, models, and tools to support the companies in their purchasing efforts.
  • Maintain and improve purchasing-related information.
  • Onboard new companies, including contract analysis and documentation.
Experience and skills

We are looking for someone with a university degree in economics, engineering, industrial economics, or equivalent. The position also requires very good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, as well as experience in data analysis, modeling, and visualization. You are fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have previously worked with purchasing, purchasing processes, and negotiation preparations, as well as basic programming knowledge (e.g., Python) / use of AI services (e.g., ChatGPT / Claude). Industry experience from installation, construction, or contracting is a plus. If you speak Finnish or Norwegian, that is also an advantage.

As a person, you are analytical, structured, and meticulous. You are self-driven with good problem-solving skills.
