Amnesty is looking for a Telephone Communicator for Part-Time Work from Home - Evening Hours

We are currently seeking a telephone communicator for Telephone Fundraising.

JOB ROLE:

As a telephone communicator, you will call private individuals and try to persuade them to become members or monthly donors. In this way, we drive fundraising for our operations in Sweden and globally.

Your working method involves having engaging conversations with those you call, telling them about violations around the world, what Amnesty is doing to combat these issues, and how the person you are speaking with can contribute by donating to Amnesty.

To thrive in this role, you enjoy talking to others, you are pedagogical, convey clear messages about what Amnesty stands for, and have the ability to tell stories in a lively manner while also being able to argue and persuade.

It is not always easy to predict how a conversation will go. To become really good at this job, you need to adapt what you say and how you say it to the person you are talking to. This is something you will develop over time.

As a person, you are responsible and have a personal drive to carry out your phone calls. We have clear goals for our fundraising, and you are motivated by these goals. You read up on what you are going to talk about or ask others to learn more. You constantly analyze what makes some calls successful and others not. You enjoy learning and trying to develop yourself in your work.

The language for the position is Swedish.

We will provide you with instructions, support, and advice in your work through coaching and supervision.

DETAILS ABOUT THE POSITION:

The position is a permanent employment that starts with a 6-month probationary period.

The work is scheduled Monday - Thursday 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Friday 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM + 1 training hour per week. The position can consist of 3, 4, or 5 shifts per week.

Our operations are entirely remote, so you need to have a distraction-free environment to work in and a stable internet connection. You do not need to be based in Stockholm but must be registered and living in Sweden.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:

  • is motivated to work goal-oriented with fundraising as the position includes performance requirements
  • has humility and curiosity in shaping the way you speak, as your voice is our working tool
  • is motivated to work independently with ongoing access to support and instructions in the work
  • speaks, understands, reads, and writes fluently in Swedish
