Gustavsberg Porcelain Museum is part of the Nationalmuseum. Nationalmuseum is Sweden's museum of art and design. Nationalmuseum is a government agency with the task of promoting art. The collections include paintings, sculptures, miniatures, applied arts, design, drawings, graphic prints, and portrait photography. In total, the collections consist of approximately 700,000 objects from the 16th century to the present day.

The Gustavsberg collection contains over 40,000 objects from the manufacturing history of the Gustavsberg factory. Everything from art porcelain and magnificent urns to well-known tableware and sanitary goods, as well as items made of enamel and plastic. Renowned designers such as Lisa Larson, Stig Lindberg, and Wilhelm Kåge worked at the Gustavsberg factory.

Gustavsberg Porcelain Museum is looking for someone who wants to be an active part of the visitor experience. We create meaningful encounters between people and art, where the staff is key to visitor reception. Therefore, great emphasis is placed on personal qualities. The job includes evening and weekend shifts.

Your main tasks

• Facilitate and sell tickets and shop products.
• Ensure that public visitor areas give a welcoming impression.
• Restock and provide both visitor-promoting materials and shop products.
• Conduct audience surveys according to set instructions.
• Perform certain janitorial tasks.

Requirements

• Experience in similar tasks within the visitor industry.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form.
• Computer skills as a working tool.

Meritorious

• Good knowledge of a third language.
• Basic knowledge of ceramics and porcelain.
• Basic knowledge of art and design.
• Experience in public work under varying tempos.

Intermittent employment is not a specific form of employment but instead describes a very short-term employment at one or more occasions, where the employee has the right to accept or decline the job offer. The term aims to clarify that the temporary employment does not extend over a continuous period. Instead, the employment is limited to each individual occasion that the employee has agreed to work.

The basis for temporary employment used for so-called intermittent employment is special fixed-term employment (SÄVA) and is regulated in the Employment Protection Act (LAS).
