About the Role

We need to grow, and we are now looking for Environmental Engineers who want to join us on the journey towards a fossil-free life!

You will belong to the business area Consulting Services and the department Internal Technical Consultants, which includes operational HSSEQ specialists, project managers, interim managers, and specialists. Within the department, we have a broad competence and various levels of experience. We work both within Vattenfall Services and with our customers in consulting assignments.

As an Environmental Engineer with us, you will be responsible for supporting managers and project leaders in HSSEQ matters. The work primarily involves providing workplace safety expertise in Vattenfall Services' own projects, but you may also take consulting assignments as an HSSEQ specialist for our customers. The assignments can vary greatly. Some assignments are advisory and supportive in nature, while others involve greater responsibility. This position will entail taking a more leading role in some projects where you will be responsible for driving, planning, and following up on HSSEQ work. It also includes conducting training, planning and driving strategic work, and area-specific issues both internally and with customers. You are expected to take on the role of sub-project manager in assignments and grow your competence within the HSSEQ area. There are significant development opportunities in the role that you can steer yourself!

Your tasks may include:

• Participating in projects and assignments as a specialist in the HSSEQ area
• Driving, planning, and following up on HSSEQ work
• Compiling data/statistics within the area of workplace safety from internal systems
• Supporting managers with workplace safety-related investigations such as accident investigations, investigations of workplace conditions, and more
• Participating in and conducting audits, inspections, risk analyses, risk assessments, and safety rounds within the workplace safety area
• Assisting in maintaining routines and working methods to ensure compliance with workplace safety laws and the requirements of authorities and other stakeholders
• Internally educating and informing within the area of workplace safety

Travel is an important part of the job. The work involves both day trips and overnight travel.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has a strong commitment to HSSEQ issues from a business and operational perspective. It is important that you are a person who appreciates collaboration and finds it easy to make contacts, as you will have many points of contact in the role. Since you are expected to work independently, you also need to be structured and able to plan your work effectively.

We know you will develop with us. However, we would like you to already have: 

• An academic degree with a focus on workplace safety or equivalent work experience
• Work experience from the energy sector within the HSSEQ area is a requirement
• It is advantageous if you have experience leading work within the HSSEQ area
• Good knowledge of the Office suite
• Very good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
• A valid driver's license (B) is required as travel is part of the job
