Österledskolan is part of the school administration and is located in the eastern part of Karlskoga. We have about 300 students. The school premises also include a youth center and adapted primary school.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be part of one of our subject teams and teach science for grades 7-9. The position also includes mentorship.

Your responsibilities include:

• planning, implementing, and following up on the teaching within the subjects you are responsible for
• analyzing teaching and results
• providing mentorship/performing class teacher duties
• parent contacts
• contributing to school development
• collaboration with the student health team, school management, and external parties
• school-wide values work
• teamwork
• working and documenting in the operational systems available

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed teacher with qualifications to teach science subjects for grades 7-9.

You are a confident and clear leader in the classroom and have an easy time creating and maintaining good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. You value and contribute to good collaboration by having an open, accommodating, and problem-solving approach. You are structured and have the ability to plan, organize, and analyze students' learning as well as your teaching structure in an effective way that leads to desired results.

To contribute to the school's continued digital development, you are expected to have good IT skills and easily adapt to digital systems. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language in such a way that you can communicate with students, colleagues, and guardians, as well as document what the operations require in writing.

If you have experience working with language development methods or Swedish as a second language, it is an advantage.
