Are you an educator who wants to actively drive the development of after school care forward? We are now looking for educators for our after school care and our team around our youngest students in preschool class. You should have a desire to take overall responsibility for driving the systematic quality work based on the after school care's mission.

Långängskolan is Hallsberg Municipality's largest F-6 school with about 430 students and three after school departments, F, 1-2, and 3-6. The school is well located on the outskirts of Hallsberg with proximity to swimming, library, and sports facilities, as well as to forest and nature areas. The schoolyard, which is large and varied with both wooded areas, play equipment, sports fields, and social spaces, was renovated in 2022 to create beautiful and varied areas for our students.

In our future work, we want to focus particularly on developing the teaching in after school care based on the curriculum's goals. We want to develop and improve the common structures of the operations, both for daily activities and with an annual wheel that indicates themes and holiday activities throughout the school year. In collaboration with the mentors in preschool class, we want to strive for mutual cooperation where we, based on a clear division of roles, work towards common goals.

About the Position

The work as a teacher in after school care means that you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the after school activities together with your colleagues. You will help create a meaningful day for our preschool class students from the moment they arrive in the morning until they go home. The position involves close collaboration with the mentors and teamwork with other after school staff, possible resources, and mentors in preschool class. You actively work for a school where everyone is included in the activities and where the best interests of the students are the focus throughout the school day.

Qualifications

We are looking for new colleagues who find joy in following students' development, not only towards the school's goals but also based on the goals that after school care has in its mission. You have a conscious pedagogical approach where the student's participation and responsibility are a given. You are used to taking responsibility, are a good role model, and act professionally in relation to students, guardians, colleagues, and management. You are a present educator who easily collaborates with others and sees collegial learning as a direction forward with a focus on your mission. We are looking for someone who has the ability to create routines and structures that provide students with clarity and security, but who is also creative and has an interest in designing, implementing, and evaluating activities and projects – for example, in physical activity and health, social interaction and relationship building, creativity, and aesthetic expression.

In addition to your future colleagues in a flexible staff group with a good atmosphere and willingness to cooperate, there is a principal group that actively drives and prioritizes the work with after school care, both regarding budget, engagement, and presence.
