Do you want to come to a workplace where you can benefit from experienced colleagues with long tenure – and at the same time have the chance to think creatively and innovatively based on students' specific needs? We are now looking for someone to teach in our special education group Studio 4-6.

Långängskolan has over 420 students in grades F-6 and is well located on the outskirts of Hallsberg with proximity to swimming pools, libraries, and sports fields, as well as forest and nature areas. The schoolyard is large and varied, with both wooded areas, play structures, sports fields, and social spaces. In addition to the regular operations, there is a special education group and a flex unit. The flex unit means that students alternate between teaching in smaller contexts and in their class, and the work in Studio 4-6 is tasked with collaborating with subject teachers to design teaching that works for students who need specially adapted pedagogy throughout the school day.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who has a heart for students who need extra understanding and support in their schooling and wants to be part of working in Studio 4-6. Together with colleagues connected to the operation, you will have the opportunity to create the best conditions for the operation based on your knowledge and experiences. We are looking for a qualified primary school teacher who enjoys and can independently plan and individualize teaching based on the students' individual needs. You will do this together with the student's mentor and/or special teacher. It is important that you have an interest in children's development and NPF (neuropsychiatric disabilities) and want to continue developing this interest through new experiences and professional development.

We Offer You

You and the students will have access to digital tools and platforms as well as access to the municipality's IKT (Information and Communication Technology) pedagogues for tips and advice. You will receive continuous guidance from both a special educator and a school psychologist to ensure you have the right conditions to succeed in your mission. You will be part of a work team where other members also have assignments within special support and special pedagogical competence.

Someone who is driven, independent, curious, and has a heart and particular interest in students who need extra understanding and support in their schooling. You need to have a desire to learn more as each new student will place new demands on your knowledge of child development. To ensure that more can benefit from this knowledge, we would like you to be proactive in collegial learning and be able to mentor others in the school, such as class teachers, leisure teachers, and support staff.

Someone who finds joy in systematically following students' development towards the school's and the student's goals.

Someone who enjoys their profession, is a relational educator who is positive, responsible, and feels a strong commitment to the students.

Someone who has a concrete plan based on our governing documents and who individually and together with colleagues is responsible for continuously and systematically planning, following up, and analyzing the work.

Someone who has a good ability to collaborate with other educators and staff at the school to be part of the work with shared understanding.

To be qualified for the position, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Meritorious

• Authorization to teach subjects for grades 4-6
• Experience with IKT pedagogy
• Knowledge and experience of NPF, language disorders, and/or special education
• Experience and interest in language and knowledge-promoting working methods
