Equipment Manager

APM Terminals, part of Maersk and one of the world's leading global players in logistics, is now looking for an experienced Equipment Manager. What does an Equipment Manager do with us? In this role, you will have a crucial responsibility for ensuring that our vehicles, machines, and equipment are operational and available around the clock, year-round. You will lead one of our machinery departments (Crane or Grensle) and share responsibility for an organization of a total of 40 technicians, mechanics, and electricians led by three team leaders.

As an important part of the management team in the technical department, you will develop and implement strategies for improved operational reliability, efficiency, and innovation. As a leader, you will drive a comprehensive transformation journey where we promote openness and participation, implement Lean, and ensure long-term competence.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Leading and developing your department by being present and acting as a role model in daily work. Safety First is always our top priority.

• Ensuring the delivery of our vehicles, machines, and technical equipment to handle loading and unloading of containers via sea, rail, and truck.

• Coaching and developing your team leaders and employees, creating engagement and participation.

• Collaborating and communicating with various stakeholders within our matrix organization.

• Supporting a comprehensive cultural journey within the technical department, where one step is to implement Lean and TWI within your area of responsibility.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience leading teams in technical workshops and is driven to create improvement and change.

• Has worked in a specialist role and has broad technical understanding.

• Works proactively, identifying and solving problems quickly and effectively.

• Has the ability to create structure and clarity in both processes and workflows.

• Lean is our way of working, so it is important that you understand what it means and are a good role model in Lean work.

• Sees it as a given to highlight how we should work forward to ensure we do the right things, at the right time, and with the highest quality.

• Communicates clearly and professionally, both in Swedish and English.

• Has experience collaborating with union representatives and understands the importance of good cooperation.

• Has an education in mechanical engineering or another relevant similar education or equivalent experience in technology.

• Has good computer skills and experience working with professional systems (e.g., Microsoft Office, databases, ERP/CMMS systems).
