Pyrotek Scandinavia AB is part of the global corporation Pyrotek Inc., headquartered in the USA. The company develops and manufactures innovative solutions in refractory materials and machinery, primarily for the aluminum industry. Pyrotek has offices around the world, and they are now looking for you to become part of Sweden's contribution to the business - namely in a role as a laboratory engineer in beautiful Ed!

As a lab engineer at Pyrotek, you will have a varied and significant role where you are responsible for quality controls of incoming raw materials and finished products, as well as assisting production with technical support. You will work closely with both R&D and the production department, where you contribute to product development, analyses, and environmental work. This is an excellent opportunity for you who want to combine laboratory work with practical problem-solving in an innovative industry. Since the position is performed locally on-site in Ed, it requires that you live in Dals-Ed or have the possibility to relocate. Should this become relevant, Pyrotek may assist in finding accommodation initially.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

• Perform quality controls of incoming raw materials and finished products
• Report deviations and collaborate with production and purchasing managers
• Conduct analyses of complaints and investigate product defects
• Carry out material tests and sampling according to quality manual
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment
• Conduct water sampling and contribute to environmental reporting

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has an engineering degree in materials technology, chemical engineering, mining engineering, or equivalent
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience in laboratory work within the manufacturing industry
• Experience with refractory materials, ceramics, or cement
• Experience in quality control and statistical analysis
